Description
Non-destructive moisture meter for wood, drywall and other building materials.
The rugged, shock-resistant housing and Bluetooth© connection for transferring measurement data to a mobile phone are identical from the ME5X.
The Moisture Encounter ME5 is a dual-range, digital, non-destructive moisture meter ideal for measuring moisture and humidity in building structures.
The ME5 measures moisture content in wood and drywall and provides comparative measurements in various building materials such as roofing, plaster, tile and masonry. These individual functions make the ME5 an indispensable instrument for professionals in building moisture control and remediation.
The clearly arranged scale allows a speedy working and the Bluetooth© function allows the user to transfer measurement data directly to the mobile phone.

Dual depth measuring range
The ME5 moisture meter has a dual depth measuring range. Deep penetration of up to 1¼” (30mm) and shallow penetration of up to ⅜” (9mm). The two depth measurements of surface and core moisture can be compared to eliminate the influence of the substrate when testing coverings. The pinless moisture meter measures the moisture content of wood from 0-30%. The meter can be upgraded with pin probes for wood, wood by-products and drywall, as well as relative humidity probes to evaluate environmental conditions.
All moisture and humidity readings can be visualised and geotagged using the Tramex Meters app and turned into moisture maps, reports and graphs for sharing.
