Description

The brand new TRAMEX MEX5 fulfils the same functions as its young brother the ME5 and is additionally equipped with a climate sensor, an IR surface thermometer and a connection for further external sensors (wood moisture, climate).

The robust, shock-resistant housing and the Bluetooth© connection for transmitting measurement data to a mobile phone have been taken over from the CME5X.

The Tramex Moisture Encounter MEX5 is a digital, non-destructive moisture meter with two measuring ranges that is ideal for measuring moisture and humidity in buildings.

The MEX5 measures moisture content in wood and drywall and provides comparative measurements in various building materials such as roofing, plaster, tile and masonry. It also has a built-in hygrometer for ambient and psychrometric readings, an infrared surface thermometer, and optional external in-situ RH probes for in-situ equilibrium RH measurements and pin probes for wood, drywall and WME measurements. These individual and collective features make the MEX5 an indispensable instrument for professionals in building moisture control and remediation.

The digital and clear scale allows a speedy working and the Bluetooth© function allows the user to transfer measurement data directly to the mobile phone.

Dual depth measuring range

The MEX5 moisture meter has a dual depth measuring range. Deep penetration of up to 1¼” (30mm) and shallow penetration of up to ⅜” (9mm). The two depth measurements of surface and core moisture can be compared to eliminate the influence of the substrate when testing coverings. The pinless moisture meter measures the moisture content of wood from 0-30%. The meter can be upgraded with pin probes for wood, wood by-products and drywall, as well as relative humidity probes to evaluate environmental conditions.

All moisture and humidity readings can be displayed with the Tramex Meters App visualised and geotagged and stored in visualised and geotagged and turned into humidity maps, reports and charts for sharing.
